Omie & Cie raises €15 million to accelerate the food transition.

Transaction Services: 2CFinance completed financial due diligence of Omie & Cie.

Omie & Cie, a French sustainable food start-up, has raised €15m in a funding round led by 2050, Xange, Founders Future, Crédit Agricole, Cookpad, and 50 Partners Impact. The company offers a platform for selling sustainable food products and sources ingredients directly from farmers to be totally transparent with consumers. The company selects ingredients from 260 farmers across France, sources manufacturers, and produces a range of products that are sold through its mobile application. The start-up is certified as a B Corp and is the first to use the Planet Score label, which measures the environmental footprint of its products, including criteria such as climate, biodiversity, animal welfare, and pesticides.

Omie & Cie was founded in 2020 by Christian Jorge, Coline Burland, Benoit Del Basso, and Joséphine Bournonville. The company's goal is to preserve the ecosystem by building a new model based on regenerative agriculture. The start-up currently has a catalog of over 260 products and a customer base of approximately 10,000.

The funding will allow Omie & Cie to expand its product range and accelerate its agricultural partnerships. The transaction services for the funding round were provided by 2CFinance. Omie & Cie is committed to promoting sustainable food production and is at the forefront of the transition of the food industry towards a more environmentally friendly and socially responsible model. The start-up's innovative approach to food production and its commitment to sustainability make it an exciting company to watch in the coming years.
