Benefiz, a social benefits platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has raised €7m from investment firms Edenred Capital Partners, OneRagtime, and Kima Ventures. The round was conducted with the financial due diligence support of 2CFinance.
Founded in 2020 by Christophe Triquet and Benjamin Clarenson, Benefiz assists SMEs in providing their employees with easy access to benefits such as employee savings plans, health insurance, life insurance, and meal vouchers, with the aim of increasing employees' purchasing power.
This investment will help Benefiz expand its offerings and double its workforce by 2023. The platform has already partnered with 40 insurers, banks, and other providers to offer a wide range of benefits to its clients.
Edenred Capital Partners, one of the investors in this round, is a venture fund sponsored by Edenred, a multinational corporation that provides employee benefits and expense management solutions. OneRagtime is a French venture capital firm that invests in early-stage startups in Europe, while Kima Ventures is an early-stage investment fund founded by French entrepreneurs Xavier Niel and Jeremie Berrebi.
Benefiz is well-positioned in the French market, where there is a high demand for social benefits management solutions for SMEs. With this funding, Benefiz can continue to grow and help more SMEs provide their employees with essential benefits, ultimately improving the quality of life for workers across France.
